Wisdom of the Devil-Tiger
It began in the land of the infidel…
The children of Islam are weak & corrupt in faith, my disciples…we, the Deceivers, can easily turn them on themselves, as the mighty Nagah bites it's own tail.
So it was, that I persuaded one of their own to strip the false blandishments of Allah from the Pakistan Embassy. With diamonds. The Clay Men lack faith! Remember this, my Faithful Tigers…it is how we differ from them.
I need not speak of what happened next, oh faithful ones, though a brave man stopped the slaughter. Take heed, O' Best Beloved: Kali-Ma favors the willing sacrifice of a brave soul.
It was as I made my escape that the Brit' approached me as if at a Liverpool cafe. Invitations made as bullets fly! How could one refuse?
This one could not.
The challenge lay in a Castle in old Ireland…while not eager to return to those cold isles & their drafty castles, my Dharma was set. At least THIS Castle had been retrofitted for luxury as an upper crust Hotel. It was there that I saw the Gypsy I had met before, & some Parisian trollop he had brought along.
Now, my disciples, it is a sad day when one finds oneself entwined with the Dharma of such as these. While the woman proved…adequate, the Gypsy was as lost as a child lured down a Bangkok alley. After encountering him suddenly (& deducing the nature of the place: a game of cards where one gambles the years of your life away), we exchanged a few pleasantries, & I slipped away, reaching into the depths of my Sattva to lay the Mark of the Honored Prey upon him…
Later, he somehow had the Mark removed. No one has escaped the Mark of the Devil-Tiger before…he must have had assistance. perhaps from the hosts of this event, a pair of Immortals who used the card game to further their lives. No matter. It cost them dearly…yet I digress.
As the Castle slept, I attuned my vision to the hidden world of the Devas & swiftly found unquiet spirits roaming the corridors. A haunted castle: how trite. I pursued the wandering spirit (as must always be done, O' Best Beloved: no one escapes, even in death), & discovered a tomb of some manner that the spirit longed for. Losing interest, I returned to my room to prepare my meditations with the Kalipujta & appropriate Ansana.
At some point during this practice, I heard a knock at the door. It turned out the others had bollock'd the task of investigating, & now sought my council. After properly greeting them at the door, I allowed myself to be persuaded to show them to the crypt. There, the Gypsy proved even more inept, angering a legion of mummy-like creatures. After tossing (admittedly impressive) sorcerous fires at them, he was nearly overwhelmed by the disembodied wrappings of the creatures. It was a simple matter to unweave the hold on him, & in my Python grasp, they were easily tamed.
Less so, the remaining legion. The woman discovered a door, which led to a grand tree growing through the various levels of the Castle. After some pursuit, the sounds of chaos above lured me from that subterranean lair. Politely asking the Gypsy to "hold" the wrappings for me (for there is never a need to be crass, my disciples), I ascended the tree to a scene of carnage. The creatures ran amok through the Castle, occasionally being struck down by emerald fire. Tracing this fire, I found one of the Immortals. We had a pleasant chat, where he confessed what I had already deduced: the nature of the game. Further, he admitted to the existence of an Amulet that would allow control over the shambling hordes. Apparently, he had searched for it for some time, with no luck.
In a flash of insight, the Gods granted me the wisdom this supposed "Immortal" lacked. I thanked him for his time, returned to the tree, broke my way to the base, & their, among the roots, found this lovely bauble that sparkles before you. Take heed, my Faithful: Always follow your instincts. Gaining control of the massed creatures, I saw no reason to stop the carnage among the Clay Men. A greater purpose then: Strangled Sacrifices for the Black Mother! Such was my fervor that, with a simple deception & the aid of several waiting bandages (even now obedient to my will as the Nagah to the Flute), I seized & readied the French woman for sacrifice, the better to fuel my Prana with her released Shakti…
To no avail. It would seem, she needs no breath. Curious. Truly, the revelation of this fact unmanned me so that I merely released her. It was not long after that the immortals made an appearance…while the women spoke of ancient times, she smelled young & fresh to my awakened desire. I edged ever closer, as the Tiger to the Antelope, but was interrupted by the man appearing behind me with intent to seize the Amulet.
My fury exploded in my breast, & the Rakshasa rose within, displaying the true face of the Asura for all to see! Even so, this man had stolen lives a-plenty to spend, hundreds, even thousands of them. So it was, than in a vicious battle he would spend them all! In a battle that ended with the total destruction of the Castle, columns of emerald flame, & the very stones cracked & torn asunder…the Immortals met their doom!!
JAI KALI-MA!!!
After my victory, the other two so chosen limped off to their rewards. I return here, to instruct you: my disciples, the ways of the world. The will of the Gods triumphs over muttered charms & wizards tricks. We are the Faithful Tigers. As we stay unswerving to our Dharma, no prey will escape us.
