The Smithsonian Institution Department of Paranormal and Occult Research, Collections, and Acquisitions is headed by Dr. Frederick Bianci. It can be reached through employee-only doors, and is not on any of the maps provided to the public. In fact, most employees of the Smithsonian don't know it exists. The offices are plain and wouldn't make a person look twice. Artifacts are photographed, tagged, and either put out for display in special galleries or put into storage. This department of the Smithsonian is staffed mostly by curators and researchers, and they do not have the man-power to go out into the field to collect the artifacts they locate. Occasionally, they will hire High Rollers as outside contractors.
